Taylor Swift Totes
Fall 2022
When I realized I was crocheting more pieces than I knew what to do with, I started my own Etsy shop called Room & Bored. The biggest part of my initial launch was designing and making a series of Taylor Swift song inspired toes bags.
The tote bag icon and color scheme is based on the album colors or lyrics included in the song. For example, in her song “The Last Great American Dynasty,” there’s a lyrics “She stole his dog and dyed it key lime green.”

Bo Burnham Sweater
Summer 2021
After the outpour of art and excitement on the internet surrounding Bo Burnham’s “Inside” in the early summer of 2021, I got the idea to try and put his face on a sweater. Having picked up crochet over the course of the pandemic, I had never tackled a project this complex before. But I was so excited about the idea and just had to try it. I pixelated the photo and added a grid with numbers along to sides to help me keep my place. Each pixel would be equivalent to one stitch. It came together quite well, so I decided to post a video of me making it on TikTok. It got overwhelming positive feedback and now over 250,000 people have seen it! I even made a tutorial after the fact on how to make it if anyone wanted to try their hand at it. You can see the TikTok here or through the link at the bottom of the page.
This sweater sold on my Etsy account in January 2023 and now has a new home!
